Singapore - opening a company

To open a company in SG you have to consider following costs:
a) company incorporation around 1200 SGD
b) company secretarial services 800 SGD a year (with documents scanned on internet)
c) local director (holder of SG passport, PR or EP on the company incorporated) ... if doesnt have one around 1200 a year



Be careful and dont pay all the costs upfront. Be aware, that process could be managed in the meantime and you want the advisers to be interested in the outcome. Of course it would be good to read M&AA before you start, so yo are sure all is ok.

Register and address in SG / real office for 3 people in CBD
a) virtual office on a good address is around 40 SGD a month
b) CBD office for 3 people in a good location, good address, nice office around 1.600 + GST a month... dont pay more, than it is expensive  .... plus read Terms and Conditions!! (I did have on some of them 60 questions to clarify)

To get work pass for your people follow:
a) equity around 50.000 SGD +
b) income 4.000 SGD + for your employees, management level 7.000 SGD +

Consider:
a) does your adviser offer you the option of the local director? It is good to have this option, once there is some problem with the contact you have (price is around 1.500 - 2.000 a year + 1.000 SGD deposit)
b) does your adviser offer you the account opening option? it might be hard to open accounts in some cases and if you dont want to get stuck it is good to have backup (price is around 200 SGD)
